1.2316 Exllent Mechanical Properties

In its pre-hardened state, 1.2316 has a tensile strength of approximately 1000–1100 MPa, which meets the performance requirements of most plastic mold applications. For applications requiring higher hardness, a complete quenching and tempering process can increase the hardness to 52–54 HRC, making it suitable for molds or tool parts with higher wear resistance requirements.

Under appropriate preheating and post-weld treatment conditions, 1.2316 supports mold repair welding, effectively reducing the risk of complete mold scrapping due to localized damage and extending the mold’s service life.
